Honours list ...
I see AP was honoured ... I'm sure he's chuffed. And Jackie Fullerton ... surprised that Jerome Quinn didn't feature! But the main omission must surely be Patrique. I scoured the list intensively and it seems the man has been passed over again....

Jayo, sometimes I think that you're off the radar...The startling ommission here is Bald Eagle...
Patrique has been a thorn in the side of the Establishment for many years, hence his on-going exclusion.
The aggression of Bocerty, the wisdom of Thomas Clarke, the youthful exuberance of Mugsy, the tips to us from Samin and other inputs from our Forumites are all anathema to the British system....GAA Fan could be "helping with inquiries" before the night is out...
Cushioned in your cocoon, before the onslaught of the "Yellowbellies" you should know better....

Re: Honours list ...
Yet again no mention of Gerry and co for the services to advancing the NI political framework.
Perhaps Gerry is holding out for the big one (like Trimble) and a nice cushy job till death in the house of lords.

Many thanks Boxty, but i'm afraid i would continue with family tradition and turn down any honour bequested upon me*.
My late Uncle was awarded an MBE for an act of heroism (bordering on stupidity really) when he saved a young family from their home as it burned down in Leeds, they were all unconsious and he ran into the inferno at least 3 times to bring the family out. He was given the award for this act and subsequently turned it down as he was a proud Irishman that didnt recignise the Royal family and politely declined.
*if there was any financial gain to be had then i would jump at it like the mercenary that i am!!

I was once given the "Great Leader Kim Jong Il Award" the highest honour in the Korean Democratic People's Republic.
I also hold the Legion D'honeur from France. Presented by Henry himself.
