Re: Antrim vs Tyrone
On paper it looks like an experienced team with no-one making their championship debut (I'm not 100& sure if it is Marty swift's champo debut). Its not what I expected as I thought that possibly Coney or Pete Harte would have got a call and also thought that only one of Dooher and O'Neill would start but both have got starting bearth's.

Re: Antrim vs Tyrone
Tyrone should have enough to ease past Antrim. But I wouldn't expect a hammering it's not Tyrone's style. Just looking at the quality and experience in the team list I can't see how they could be upset at the first hurdle.

Antrim by about 12 points.
After a quick glance at the subs it would appear that the prodigal son is being held in reserve for the first round of the qualifiers later on in the summer

I would imagine the prices would be the same as the Derry - Armagh game, £13 for Terrace and £23 for the stand

He's the same as as meself, He also went to college in Dublin as well. The social lives would have differed greatly though

I know mullins, If I'd watched myself and me and him had played together in a half forward line that also included Brian McGuigan we'd maybe be going for 8 in a row this year

Mugsy - ye still have similarities and differences. You are still helping to pull calves outta cattle - he is doing it for a few bob more I reckon. But the big difference for me - having heard Brian's acceptance speech - is that you can talk a good game!

Re: Antrim vs Tyrone
I think a lot will be revealed when we know the line ups as obviously neither "named" team will start.
Antrim have "named" a lot of hard working forwards, but few renowned scorers.
Might be going for the old 1-0 win.

Well I hope thats true then cos it should make for a better game than Derry and Armagh going for the 0-0 draw last Sunday ...

Mugsy - glad to see Swifty getting his chance at Championship football (i do believe this is his debut) hopefully he does himself some justice on the field and i believe he deserves his place.
Its a while since Carlin got a rattle at championship football too so its a good day for the club. I cant see Dooher starting to be honest and i would be inclined to put Joe at No 3 with Justy at 6 and play Peter Harte instead of Dooher. Hopefully there will be bigger challenges ahead were we might need Dooher - no disrespect to Antrim.
Score prediction Tyrone 2-11 0-13 Antrim.

A really boring game. Antrim are being shoved off the ball with ease and Antrim dont care, there is no urgency in their play.

Yeah Antrim look like they cant really be arsed. Mulligan's goal came from easily taking the ball of Antrim conner back and thats happening all over the pitch. Tyrone could have 5 or 6 goals at this stage, dont think they were expecting to come up against such a soft Antrim side

Hard to know what Tyrone are capable of this year. How Antrim have an All Ireland club championship is beyond me even more so that they are playing D2 football next year. Think Antrim are back at the bottom of the Ulster pecking order yet again.
