Galway (SH v Limerick): C Callanan; D Joyce, E McEntee, F Moore; R Murray, M Ryan, A Cullinane; G Farragher, D Tierney; J Gantley, C Donnellan, A Callanan; N Healy, J Canning, F Healy.

Interesting to see Joe Canning in the starting line-up here. A sign of the great mans committment and devotion. Either that or John Mcyntire got down on his knees and begged, begged and begged. Wouldn't surprise me if he did because this is a make or break game for us and boy does this team need some inspiration. A win and Galway will be back on track, another defeat here and our decline into the lower echelons will have become official.
Limerick playing well this year and should have gotten a result against Kilkenny so it will be interesting to get a good look at them out in Salthill tomorrow. However, on the basis that I have underlined above and with so much at stake for the Galway and their whole year I have to go for a home win here in the hope that Joe Canning will lift them and that the rest are not a s bad as they've looked so far in the league.

As an aside their was a good article in todays indo regarding the similarities between the Galway hurlers and the Dublin footballers and basically, how useless they both are. Made me feel this funny unique thing I'd never felt before, sympathy for Dublin football supporters. scratch
Maybe need to lie down for a while......

Well Galway won by two points in the end. Perhaps the non interest shown in this game is a good thing because the less said about it the better. Terrible turn out in Salthill as well. Be surprised if their was more then 3000 at the match.
As a Galway hurling supporter its hard to know who to have less faith in at times. The Galway hurling team or the Galway hurling supporters
