Electric Cars ...
So the ESB are launching their on-street charging points for electric cars today!! Is this gonna become a reality? Will we all be driving around in electric cars in a couple of years?
It is shockingly exciting and is needed in the current climate so I thought I'd give it a plug and get it out around the circuit. I'm sure Hertz will be renting them soon and Voltswagen will make some new models to take you ohm - but not in neutral. I might switch to one but will see watts the story or if there is any resistence to them first.

I think they should pull the plug on this scheme. It won't generate enough of a spark for it to catch on. It is positive new idea though, but I can see this scheme falling flat on its face.

It sounds a little three phase to me. If this dosent work, it wont be a matter of changing the fuse but turning the switch off permenantly. If it does work the input will be huge and give a huge supply to the economoy. It is not as simple as a continuity test on this one, but one dodgy wire and it will blow up in everyones faces causing sparks to fly.

I wonder what precautions have been taken for electric cars if people have to drive through FORD like waters. Will this become the new ALPHA of cars or will they just be another HUMMER. I for one cannot wait to see how SMART these cars can be and if I will get a MINI rush when I drive one.

I'm sure they will have enough power to stay within the legal speed limits yes ....Ruanua wrote:Will these cars have enough power

32 kW·h/100 km something like that.
Re: Electric Cars ...
How long do they take to charge, I'd say the hyrogen cars will catch on quicker.
