Price of tickets..
As a student I went up to dublin to see the club finals yesterday and I did the same last year. Last year the price to get in was 10euro and yesterday it was 20euro doubled in price. I am the only one who finds it a bit steep!

They were on the net the night before for €15 - The €20 was to discourage people all paying at the same time.
15 for 2 games isn't bad
Took the kids to a fair yesteday - €15 certainly would'nt cover 2 hours there

It's a bit crazy that they're doubling their prices considering the state the country is in financially but I suppose that they are a business really and if they think they can make a profit then they will do it. During the summer for Croke Park can be a bit steep but the hill is only €15 I think and you can get a childs ticket for €5 even though the seats aren't great that still isn't bad. The stand tickets can be fairly pricey though.

Re: Price of tickets..
RG - re kids tickets - you are better getting an ordinary ticket and then getting the rebate - works out a bit dearer but at least you can pick your seat.
Speaking of ticket prices - I paid €75 for each Six Nations ticket this year. I get them through a club and they took an extra €15 per ticket so I forked out €180 last Saturday for €150 tickets for Wales and Scotland. I don't mind 'supporting' a club but 20% on top of already dear tickets is a bit much.

Re: Price of tickets..
Some of the prices are quite steep. Sure, some Mayo fans who had season tickets for McHale Park had to pay the entrance fee of €15 to see Mayo against Galway for the FBD final-madness. There needs to be more consistency with ticket prices as well, and I believe the prices in this economic climate should reflect the limited money people have to spend on them.

Ticket prices are a bit steep for League matches. They always try to put 2 games on so they can justify charging €15 a ticket. I wonder would dropping prices boost NL attendances which are quite poor. They also have this carry on in the GAA where they announce an attendance well below the actual amount of people present. 6,000 in Thurles last sunday even though the O Rian stand was almost full not to mention a good crowd the far side.

You never get two games at Parnell clash. At least they let kids U16 in for nowt this season. Last year they charged full adult price into the stand for 5 yr olds for the Galway hurling game!! There was (rightly) murder!

For club hurling matches they charge 2 euro into the stand and then after about 20 mins into the game they open up the gates and let everybody in.

i'm not the only one! every time I'm at a game in Thurles they announce a ridiculous attendance when it clearly looks like there is more people there.

Re: Price of tickets..
I'd say Cusack Park in Ennis uses the same recording when annoucing an attendance for a full house.
