Mayo win Under 21
Mayo win against Galway. Great win and boost for tomorrow.
In Connacht Mayo withstood some strong Galway pressure to take a slender 2-6 to 0-11 win at Charlestown.
A 43rd-minute Jason Doherty goal ensured Mayo opened up a 2-5 to 0-6 lead and although the eventual winners were outscored by five points to one in the closing 17 minutes, they held out for victory.
Michael Martyn, Fiachra Breathnach and Eoin Concannon spear-headed the Galway comeback, and although Concannon had a fourth-minute injury-time chance to send the game to extra-time, his effort went to the left of posts as Mayo took a one-point win.
Come on Mayo!

Re: Mayo win Under 21
definite chance of a 4th connnaught title in a row and id say if we beat Roscommon then we'll win the All-Ireland. 3 of the top 4 teams in Ireland at u21 this year are Mayo,Galway and Roscommon. the other is obviously Tyrone with last years minor team. Cork beating Kerry also makes it a little bit easier. hopefully we can go on and do it,might give the seniors a boost for the season like it did in 2006

Final score
Mayo 0:11 Kerry 0:13
An epic encounter and Mayo narrowly missed out. Played very well even though they were missing a few key players. Good second half. Andy Moran played very well with 2 points from play. Trevor Mortimer played well also.
Mayo played with great courage in the second half, pity it didn't happen earlier. Still, good signs for Mayo who played well against an unbeatable Kerry today.
Bring on the Dubs!
