Any truth to the rumours that the holes in the cup were plugged for a few nights?

I think if you lose you go into a 'shield' competition. This was obviously Donegal's motivation ......... sure you can't drink out of a shield!

You can if you make a dent in it somewhere. Hand the shield to Mossbags and the boys for that!

Re: 2010 McKenna Cup
Cant read much into this is correct.
However i fail to see the shock, antrim lost twice last year, as did most teams, the two teams we lost to being the difference, all ireland champs tyrone and all ireland champs to be Kerry.
We had a good year last year and played with a weakend team today!

yes but a shield can be used like a tray to carry pints . it holds more than most cups!

I would have been happier if this was hurling, as it would have indicated progress under Dinny.

Patrique come on now, you got sour grapes over the dinny reappointment?

I LOVE Dinny.
Brought us on by years, seriously. The skill factor rose by miles. Nearly beat Tipp, should have beat wexford. A great coach.
Then we got those clowns to undo all his good work.

Re: 2010 McKenna Cup
It'll be great to see Antrim push on this year. If they avoid 2nd season syndrome (something I strongly believe in) and get to a similar stage it will only strengthen Ulster position as the dominate footballing province.

I love dinny too lol
hes a great coach with great vision, i hope this time round he can get us to the quarter finals at least!!
It was just the way you said you wished the victory over derry was hurling as it would have been progress??
Also, looking forward to heading to newry tomorrow night, anyone any thinkers on how this will go?
Will be hard to contain a very vibrant down, although mccartan will know he wont want them peaking to early.

Any idea what sort of donegal team will be put out? Will murphy play.
Cavan
Tyrone
Down
100 euro will pay back nearly 200.
Monaghan should have a better showing than at the weekend too i'd imagine and hard to see UUJ beat by fermanagh.

Murphy played all right Jonnos!! 2-9 isn't a bad return for a game on the 20th of Jan.
Finished D 2-17 T 3-14 with Penrose getting 3-3 for Tyrone. If Murphy ever goes to Oz we're foooooked!

What way does McKenna Cup work? I note that Donegal could only manage a draw with Tyrone but no extra time or replay so I presume there is a league basis here??
