Lowry esat Obrien
The Independent TD and former minister Michael Lowry has lashed out at the Moriarty Tribunal over its failure to recall him as a witness before issuing its final report.
Mr Lowry claims the tribunal is depriving him of his right to defend himself against what he says is the destruction of his character.
The tribunal report into the issuing of a mobile phone licence to Denis O'Brien's Esat Digifone - is due to be published soon.
Today Michael Lowry said the report will be unfair and unjust unless he has a chance to answer allegations of wrongdoing against him.
O'Brien went on to float Esat, walking away with more than £300m by selling it to British Telecom while retaining a 30% stake.
If their was wrong doing should the CAB go after these people or are they above the law..

Lowry was a Minister in a Fíne Gaél led Government, these boys never do anything out of line so we're told.
Lowry was exposed to some dubious accounting/billing issues involving Ben Dunne but in this instance, funnily, I believe him.
Given that now he hasn't the clout or the capital to "grease the right paws" he may come out badly in the report.
CAB, well we'll have to wait and see the report's findings before deciding.

Lowry looked after his own, I know boys from Tipp whose families have had their wellbeing improved immeasurably because he choose to take a personal interest in their plights.Say a bad word about him and you'll be going down quicker than KerryK. Its the same in every constituency in the country, get a lad in there who you know, or who knows you, and your the one who's elected. Mightn't be right and proper but is and has been the backbone of what makes this wee island the country that it is to-day.
