Jaysus, I am that old I recognise and can name all of the players in the Tipp V Killkenny photo above, especially Pa Dillon.

I was first taken to the hurling final in 1963. In 1964 Tipp beat Kilkenny handily, in 67 Kilkenny beat Tipp, But the Tipp 64/65 side was one of the best ever.

The Kilkenny players are Ollie Walsh on the ground, Jim treacy standing over him, Pa Dillon with the samurai action, and Ted Carroll acting as poeace maker.

Must be mid sixties. The Tipp lads look like Seanie McLaughlin and maybe Nealon.

If pressed I would opt for the 1965 league final, which Tipp won. Kilkenny beat Tipp the following year but Jim Lynch was at full back, with Pa at full forward.
