Great game and nice to see the Banner win something.

Bloody class game alright. Only caught the second half but it was rivetting stuff. And all from 20 year old lads. The hits, the commitment, the scores, the speed, the saves, the fielding, the honesty, the sportsmanship.

I didn't want either team to lose but it was good to see Clare win their first at this level.

All in all a very good season for hurling. Three great finals. Kilkenny have taken it to a different level - but most counties seem to be rising to the challenge. Bodes well for the future.

Definitely the best field sport in the world.

There won't be a sore head in the morning either.
