Re: Club vs County
Which title is easier to win? There are hundreds of GAA clubs but only the 32 counties. But because you have so many clubs in each county you have to pick the best out of the clubs to play on the county panel. Are they an equal? Is it harder to win a county title? Or is it harder to win a club title?
Re: Club vs County
Can depend on the county really. A Carlow man will tell you its harder to win Sam whereas a guy from Sylvesters in Malahide might tell you its harder to win the county championship. Although - as a Dublin club that's doubtful come to think of it!!

Re: Club vs County
Oh well club is far harder cos you have to get out of the county first which can be extremely difficult. Unless you are from Cross ....

Re: Club vs County
Ah well it's hard to judge I suppose, all relative as JC says. You can have an exceptional group of players coming through at the one time in some clubs which can make them into AI club winners(or in Crossmaglen's case, a few groups in a row), whereas with the county it's about the overall strength in the whole county and the pick of the players gelling together and being managed well too of course, the best players being selected and not necessarily those from the best clubs. Not that management isn't important in the club game of course, just more vital on the county scene imo. Many clubs can have great players coming through, but I think for a team to go all the way and win on Paddy's Day in Croker, that takes a fantastic group of players on the top of their game. It's a long road to travel to get to that point, hard enough just to get to the top of your own county! For a team who've grown up playing with each other to get to the highest point, that's something special. But that's more to do with which means more, another question entirely!
I would say club is harder purely for the amount of games needed to get to the final, and the quality gets very high towards the end. It makes the achievements of the Cross team, Nemo team of the past etc, all the more remarkable.
Of course, there's only a select group of players who would be able to tell us for sure!

On winning it? Was just 2 years old when we won it, but I have watched the video a million times, was in the club the night the team came home cant remember it obviously!! But if I were to chose on achievement it would be club over county any day. We actually go to the All Ireland semifinal the next year but were beaten by Skibbereen

Winning the club is the ultimate, and harder. No back doors there.
My "family" club won the camogie this year, and lost in the hurling final in 1989.

You're in a rare enough position then that both your club and county have both won All-Irelands, even if you can't remember them well! It's just not a realistic ambition for the vast majority of clubs, must be a great feeling. Christ, an Ulster would be unreal for me! Got to the final a number of years ago, just a few years before I started playing seniors, then on a couple of occasions in the last few years them hoors from across the border were in the way!

Re: Club vs County
Even this season they have been relentless (Crossmaglen 3-19 Tir na nÓg 0-6) Was also speaking to my uncle, he thinks Oisin is still worth a place on the county team.. They will definitely be on a mission this season, can see them being All Ireland club winners. As great as a feat it is, Cross also cost Armagh All Irelands.

Cross going for the history books this year on there own 14 titles in a row, the "share" thw 13 in a row with Ballina of Mayo cira 1920's.
This shows club harder to win
Cross 13 titles
Ulster 7/8 i Think
All Ireland 4
but then again it depends on your county as MMM said

Rosaa indeed.
I remember well Lavey winning the football, only for concentrating on that awful game they could have been pushing for a hurling title. Would certainly have won Ulster.
