Where to watch the final?
Well with the decline of setanta and my patience wearing thin at bad internet streams I've gone and booked the flights and I'm heading to Dublin to watch the Football final. Seriously if one more stream would have paused on me I'd have been heading for either the nick or the nuthouse! Now unless I can find tickets which is unlikely I'd love some suggestions for which pub to watch the game in. I'd like a nice pint of Guinness, a Bushmills for fulltime and a good friendly atmosphere (preferably with people that can understand a Black Country accent!), maybe somewhere fans will spill into after the game. In 2002 I was in O'Shea's on Lower Gardiner Street which was great craic and rather helpfully about three steps away from where I was staying! So anybody got any better suggestions for this year?

Staying on Lower Gardiner Street again Jayo. Just myself and a mate coming over, Saturday through to Monday for him and I'm staying the extra day to show the realtives I still exist! If you know of any tickets going we'd be more than interested although nothing in the upper stands, I'm s*t scared of heights (I don't ask much do I!). We'll be happy enough in the pub as we had a cracking time in 2002 but if we can make it to the game it'd be a major bonus for us, we'll take Cork and Kerry at this stage because we could be old men waiting for Galway!!!

Oh! I thought it was the hurling you were coming for!!!
I reckon tickets will be had for the football if you get a shout in early enough!! I'm thinking of going to the hurling!!
No interest in going meself - but will keep an ear to the ground for you! Can't promise it will rival Hull and Wolves for excitement though!

We should have won that one! Blackburn up next, I better get the neck brace out for the day after that as the grass won't see much action!
I've got the relatives in the city on ticket alert but all this talk of finals is a bit painful for them to deal with being Dubs
