Cork v Limerick
Total muck.
Limerick had Cork on the ropes for most of this game but they just couldn't do anything with it. Playing 1 man in the full forward line is criminal. Limerick just ran out of steam and some of their tackling was ridiculous.
I said it after the Cork v Kerry game that I wasn't fully convinced about Cork and I think I'm being proven right. Against Kerry, they went the first 10 minutes of each half without scoring and then they go over 35 minutes without scoring against Limerick and this is supposedly the second best team in Ireland at the moment?
I wouldn't be surprised if Tyrone have their open top bus sorted for September because without even getting out of second gear they are by far and away better than anyone else. Cork have a lot to do before the quarter finals because if they come up against a team that have had a good run in the qualifiers, they will be beaten. I don't think Limerick will amount to much in the qualifiers, they practically had one hand on the munster football trophy and they let it slip form their grasp.

100% correct. Cork have fooled many but the reality was there today for all to see. Their average at best, would struggle to make the QFs every year if they were in any other province. Limerick blew it again, fair play to them, but truth be told this was yet another dismal game in what has been the most dismal championship I can remember for a long time.
