anyone watch the match - how ironic is it that Down who have specialised in late goals on several occassions were undone by a late goal from Cork.

Down will be kicking themselves they had that one in the bag and completely switched off with a minute or so to go. It's hard to say who deserved to win as both teams had their periods of domination.

I do have to say the Cork goalkepper would not inspire much confidence in me and the no 13 for Cork seemed more occupied with trying to burst the ball every time he got it, he learnt very little from his mistakes.

Congratulations to Cork and commiserations to Down.

As a former 'keeper, I really feel for the Down goalie. Last kick of the game and he fumbles it. Total sickener. Decent enough game, thought Down were quite cynical in the tackle at times but at the same time Cork looked like a gust of wind - never mind a shoulder - would've knocked them over at times.
A draw would've been the fairest result on the day.

Felt sorry for the keeper he made a great 1st save, he will probably be disappointed with his defence as they were not quick enough to pick up the breaking ball and he couldn't get on his feet in time for the sucker punch. Unlucky for Down but they did Ulster proud and the omens are good for Down in the next 5 years if they can take this bunch of players through.
