God what a loser. Get a grip man. Life is full of wonderful things. The call of the corncrake, the rumble of the bin lorry, the fumes of a double decker, the aroma of a low tide, women in duffel coats, lads with those new funny stupid woolly hats with stupid ear-type things, GT without the tonic, sport free weekends, weeping verrucas.
Stop wallowing in self pity lad. Put on your wrangler and get out and get some!

GT without Bright Oak is like a big empty void that can never be filled. If I have lost, it is because without her, there is nothing to be won.

Thats a good question
I suppose it only appears really when something else has disappeared so be careful you don't disappear Jimbo or you might find yourself re-appearing on this thread, hope that clears it all up.

This species is practically extinct. Minister Gormley is to have a "census" on them when the final tally for our frog population is complete....

Not so Mr B. An ornithologist in Mayo called Dr. Esther Crakecorn has set up a 'Save the Corncrake' foundation. She is funded by the US Wildlife Reserve to the tune of €1m per year. Her work is the talk of Mayo and her rescue and resuscitation of all things avian is legendary. Notwithstanding this she is also a dab hand at fishing puppies out of lakes, kittens out of rivers, midnight raids on glue factories to rescue horses and freeing rats from secret laboratories where they are used to research Viagra. Oh and did ye hear about her work with underprivileged kids?

First time I've laughed out loud at the computer screen in a long time! Thank you Sir!

I do have my doubts about her internet not working story, well at the time I did not really believe it. Wouldn't be the first lie either, . Each to their own and all that. True or false though, once Derry win a few league games and the hype train picks a bit of speed, she'll be on here the whole time.

Why is it called General Talk? All anyone seems to do on here is argue and fight. You should change the name to something more appropiate like 'General Batin's' or something GF.

Re: The disappearing thread
All kinds of strange goings on in the neighbourhood today. Posts appearing , posters re-appearing and entire threads disappearing , not to mention RMD openly admitting on the 2nd Wexford Hurling Sex scandal thread that he doesn't understand what is going on!
One has to ask is the malaise coming from the top down?
Time maybe for Loyal to put his detective hat on again and get to the bottom of all this!
