2010:
Leitrim lost to Kildare
Mayo lost to Longford
Galway lost to Wexford

2009:
Leitrim lost to Longford
Roscommon drew with Wexford, beat Wexford and lost to Meath
Sligo beat Tipperary, lost to Kerry
Galway lost to Donegal
Mayo lost to Meath

2008:
Roscommon lost to Donegal
Mayo lost to Tyrone
Galway lost to Kerry

2007:
Roscommon lost to Kildare
Leitrim lost to Donegal
Mayo beat Cavan, lost to Derry
Galway lost to Meath
Sligo lost to Cork

Down got the lucky draw in this weekend's Qualifiers, no doubt about that.

Galway have now lost their last SIX Championship games outside of Connacht.

The last time Mayo won a game outside Connacht was 2007 versus Cavan.

Leitrim, do I have say it?

Sligo have won one game outside Connacht in four years, against Tipperary.

Roscommon, in fairness to them, flew the flag for the mighty Connacht in 2009 overcoming Wexford after a replay.

Sligo to increase that record by 100% this weekend.
Down scrapped past Offaly, not a good sign, Game in is Cavan as well possible bigger advantage to Sligo here.

Weel predict a Sligo win if you wish Jim. That'll be one less Tipster I'll have to worry about it in the Tipster competition.

I'll be amazed if Down don't beat Sligo.

Can't see what anybody sees in Down. They got to a Div 2 final and were beaten by Armagh who are limited as was proven last Saturday. They beat Donegal in Ulster before Tyrone knocked them out without breaking sweat. Since then they beat Longford by just 4 points at home and scraped by Offaly by two points. They are nothing special at all. If Sligo can recover from the heartache they should be more than good enough for Down.

totally agree JC - i figured Ross Carr was the reason they had made no progress but it appears the problem runs much deeper - not enough quality players they depend on Coulter Clarke and Colgan to a certain extent far too much 3 or 4 decent defenders would improve their prospects dramatically.
