Joe brolly
Anyone hear him on the Sunday game saying "Lets be fair, everyone beats Mayo"
Wonder how that is going to go down...

Re: Joe brolly
I do not like Joe Brolly.
Like he hasn't watched a Meath game all year (and its obvious from what he's saying) and here he is on The Sunday Game. Why isn't Bernard Flynn on there? I'm not being funny but Cormac McGuinness has been the best CHB I've seen all year and you only have to read the excessive praise Flynn gave him in today's match programme to confirm this. But according to Brolly he was out of his depth.
Too dismissive of Meath as well. I hate this attitude that every team that play Meath play below themselves. If Dublin did this, If Kerry did that, Meath wouldn't have had a hope, et cetera. Fact is Kerry won by four and were value for no more. We gifted them a penalty and two points!

Re: Joe brolly
I thought the "he slipped on his arse" comment was hilarious.
Him and Davis were sneering away like two cocky little young fellas and to be fair Cahill tried to defend Mayo. Lyons (as much as I dislike him) at least tried to be fair and balanced.

Yeah seems to be a lot of sneering going on today esp Umbrella. Colm O'Rourke as usual calls it straight and true.

I am only going easy on him as well you know as I like a few people from his native county and don't want to upset them un-necessarily!
What did Colm say?

Well he wasn't giddy, smug and childish like the other two were a lot of the time. He just calls it well most of the time IMO. Said the Meath team had a good age profile but still needed to find 4 or so players to get up there and challenge.

Re: Joe brolly
Brolly's a smug git but he's one of their better analysts. Blinkered as he is when it comes to Ulster he's a bit of craic and calls it right more often than not. O Rourke is quite possibly the blandest man on the planet, principal Skinner all over and Spillanes just the court jester at this stage. The rest are all pretty poor as well with the exception of Tohill who knows his s**t. Their hurling pundits are on a different level to the fball lads except for Paul Flynn whose quite useless.

Hurling analysts are just paid to give Joe Canning a big ego. They haven't a clue. Loughnane wrote in The Star one day that he was suffering from second season syndrome and he's been frowned upon ever since. And Duignan texting when he should be analysing.
I do however like Cyril Farrell, he would be favourite - in either football and hurling.

My RTE is on the blink and as I do not live on the "island of Ireland" I cannot get the RTE I player.
Pity, as Brolly is my hero.
