Wexfords quilifiers
Details have been confirmed for the forthcoming Football Qualifiers Wexford v Offaly. The game will go ahead in Wexford Park on Saturday 4th July with a throw-in of 2.30 pm. This is to allow offaly fans to get back to tullamore for 7pm for the hurling with cork.thats terrible makes no sense to me fair play to the gaa for allowing fans to see both if they want to(they wont if the football goes to extra time) surely there is another way of working it without having fans to travel such distance and paying for 2matchs. the one solution that i would obviously favour is play the football the following week as a double header with the wexford hurling game also down for wexford park. but surely there is a solution to this that would suit offaly fans better. any ideas

Re: Wexfords quilifiers
Provided Meath beat Armagh this weekend, then the final of the Nicky Rackard will be at Croker at two Saturday week with the Meath/Waterford qualifier in Navan that evening at seven. That means that we won't be able to stay and watch the Christy Ring final after paying for a ticket that entitles us to see it.

I doubt the Offaly footballers get much support these days so I'd say it would only affect a few.

Re: Wexfords quilifiers
Never mind the Biffo's what about Wexford Folk 2:30 on a Saturday is a s**te time for match.
would not be one bit surprised if our own county board asked for it so the footballers would have a small crowd.
bet the hurling will be on a 7pm in the evening.
Anything that doesn't promote football is what our county board aim to do they are so pro hurling and anti football it beyond a joke at this stage

Maybe they should do the same as in Galway have two county boards, one for hurling and one for football.

Re: Wexfords quilifiers
Overall there is county hurling board Chairman,Secretary, treasurer etc and same for football hence the different jerseys and crests for both hurling and football. You then have a county board of chairman, secretary , treasurer that oversee both hurling and football county boards but as far as I can see they don't have much say in regards fixtures or tickets. As for clubs they would just have a hurling board delegate and a football board delegate.
