The Handpass Rule
Should something be done about the handpass rule so that it encourages more kicking of the ball. 9 out of every 10 passes is a handpass and I feel a more direct kicking game would make it quicker and easier to watch. Obviously you can't get rid of it totally but maybe something along the lines of no more than 3-4 handpasses in a row.

Re: The Handpass Rule
In the late 1940s Antrim threatened to rule supreme using the handpass, so it was banned due to a motion from....Antrim.

Re: The Handpass Rule
No Clash, why would you mess with a perfectly good, clean and skillful sport. Its not hand-passing thats the problem, its the name of the sport itself thats the problem so I hereby propose that we change the name from Gaelic football to Gaelic Handpass-ball.

Re: The Handpass Rule
I once counted 30 handpasses in a row during a Donegal match. Says a lot about the match when I was counting.

But if that happened;
The Ulster Netball Championship wouldn't be the Ulster Netball Championship any more.

I once counted 30 players (involved) in a row during a Donegal match.
Well it was the Ulster championship...

Re: The Handpass Rule
I think we are all united in our disgust at the Ulster Netball Championships so.
But what can we do?
I don't honestly know but the question I ask is "Should the Ulster Football Championship or UFC (funny how it shares its title with another sport famous for fighting) be ended"?
