Re: Dublin vs Antrim LSHC
Now Antrim need a lot to go right, and do not be surprised if they collapse, but they do have a genuine chance of winning.
Carl Stewart can score, as can CJ. Neil McManus is now crucial, a big game from Neil and we have a reasonable chance.
The other two Neil's are excellent players as well, and Graffin is top class. Kieran McGourty is a spoiler of a defender, and I love Johnny Campbell, although he often struggles at the top level.
So it can be done, with another couple of scoring forwards I would fancy Antrim.
If Winker was there, I could see us winning.

1-6 to 0-8 in favour of the dubs here at HT. Antrim blowing a lot of chances and missing a penalty. Should be well up. Playing against the breeze now so cant see past the Dubs at this stage who are bound to get their act together in the 2nd half

Very poor game this Im sorry to report. Dublin look poor but Antrim are dire. Shooting from both sides is terrible. Dublin 6 points up with 15mins to play. They'll win by keeping Antrim at arms length but on todays evidence it will be their only victory in the battle for Liam this year.

Some awful hurling on display here. Antrim were running around like headless chickens in the 2nd half. They were leaderless, lacked discipline and like Laois last week, exposed as imposters at this level. Dublin for their part didn't exactly set the world alight either. Their shooting was dirt poor and many of the players who shone for them in the league didn't show up to day. The difference in the sides however was Dotsy O Callaghan, the only truly class forward on the field. That said you'd expect Dublin to come on a lot now. Fallons return is crucial if their to prosper this year. Cant see them making the Leinster final but they might well make an all-ireland QF taking a major scalp along the way.

Antrim got their arse handed to them on a plate! I'm glad the Dubs tanked them, and now i hope Derry or Down (preferably Derry) beat them in the Ulster final, you know the Championship that they had a divine right to get to the final in due to their one day out in Croker at the expense of Westmeath, who would've given Dublin a better game!

Westmeath wouldn't have given Dublin a better game.

Your welcome.
The problem in Westmeath is that hurling always comes second best. Most lads are more interested in winning a county championship at this stage.

You have to say you feel for them Loyal, they had won the Christy twice in three years and had no provincial Championship to play for, very hard for them to keep the concentration up for the county team.

Re: Dublin vs Antrim LSHC
having seen dotsy play and having played football with him woth st. marks i can honestly say he is the one true classy player on the dubs team, he is what you would call a natural hurler, the rest are good honest players but they dont have his class. what can be said is they now have a great chance of a leinster final spot. missing out on the two big guns is huge for them but and this is a big but is it all being set up nicely for wexford? all the talk will be on dublin, the papers everyone will be talking about there first final in 19 years and all that and then you have wexford going in under the radar licking there lips!!!!!

Wexford's good performance against a strong Offaly team would make them favourites to beat Dublin. Unless Wexford are terrible on the day I can't see Dublin beating them. No offence to Antrim but you should be beating them by at least 10 points, Galway beat them by 26 points last year and if a team has hopes of reaching a Leinster Final you can't be struggling over the line against the weaker counties like Antrim.

Sorry that was one of the worst Offaly performances of the last 20 odd years love to know where you are getting the word strong from.
Dublin would have to be slight favourites due too the fact Div 1 team against div 2 team.
Can't see it been a sell out in Nowlan park either crowd of about 10/12 thousand max.
For a crowd reckon the leinster final needs to be Galway v Wex but still think that would only pull 25/30 thousand max. For an atmosphere for the players and the telly it wants to be and proberly will be Wex v Cats in a sold out Wexford Park of 25 thousand

I said a strong Offaly team, I didn't say a strong Offaly performance. That Offaly team is the best that they've had in a while. Good performances against Waterford and Limerick last year.

Re: Dublin vs Antrim LSHC
I was very disappointed with the Dubs yesterday, I actually expected better.
Antrim, who have no forward threat, should have been about 4 or 5 up half time.
However I expect the Dubs to up the ante in the semi, and it could be some game against Wexford.
