Clare v Dublin
Well Puke and Par comments please. Thriller in Ennis. Quality may not be great at times but the young Clare lads stood out. Dublin, where to now ? Great start to the Willie Week in Miltown Malbay

Ah here now RKF...Exciting if your county were participating but very poor fare. The big guns like Galway or Tipp won't be exactly trembling and Clare's youthful exuberance would surely see off the next tier such as Kilkenny or Cork.
Cork in fact only limped over the Biffo's tonight as well.
Daly made some dreadful decisions starting when they went an extra man up, positioning the spare man in front of the full back.
Then he takes off the free-taker. And on it went. The loopy leprecháun is some card in fairness.
The Clare footballers will take massive heart from this as well. The influx of roasters into Limerick tomorrow from the wilds of Quilty, Cooraclare, Doonbeg and KIB will un-nerve the Cork lads. A good start indeed to the Willie week (gone are the days)....

RKF cleverly lobbed this one into the football section where it will gather traction tomorrow with Clare's surprising overthrow of Cork.
This has the potential to be the thread of the year here (if the forum lasts).
Kudos to RKF. Even when his beloved Kerry are not contesting he shows a cunning associated with his place of origin.
This may not in fact be the exact reason...

Re: Clare v Dublin
It was a good win for Clare last night albeit against a disappointing Dublin side. For whatever reason, they are suddenly beginning to regress again and Dalo must be seriously comtemplating his future. You'd wonder where Dublin can turn if he leaves.
It's also hard to believe that was Clare's first championship win since2008. About time though and I'd be confident themselves and Cork will take Limerick and Wexford in Phase III and both would have to fancy their chances against Galway/Waterford who'll be coming in off the back of provincial final losses.
The players I've been most impressed with are the goalie who looks a lot more assured than his predecessor, the full-back Dillon is very solid and Conlon is an animal in the half-forward line. Tony Kelly has potential and I like Sean Collins. The rest well - I'm not sure about Lynch or Clancy in the half-forward line and McGrath is wasteful in front of goals for a young player with a big reputation. The jury is out on the half-back line although Brendan Bugler was immense in the second half.

Good start for the minors. Kerry 5 points up at halftime against All Ireland champs. The tide is turning in Munster football.

Ooops. Tipp now 4 points up 12 mins into second half. Kerry obviously taking their foot off the pedal.

Overall a big improvement from Kerry. Tipp hammered them a couple of months ago and gap is closing. Could be LKerry-Tipp final.
