A Kindle....Your opinion.
I got a Kindle for Fathers Day and much to my delight, I'm finding it wonderful..
I've been a book man for 50 odd years, have bookcases and rakes of books of various genres and styles thereon, but this thing is/was a gift..
No turning pages, bookmarking, summonses from libraries to contend with....
It offers a facility that you can share books conducive to your taste with like-minded readers for free..
The Crane (Techno Wizard that he is) "Uploaded" about 40 books of my liking (Author based) in half an hour today, as he drank 4 large Jemmys.
The Kindle....Top Job...

Yeah they're handy, especially for travel but I'd hate if they signaled the end of book shops.. I love a good book shop

I'm shocked that you would engage in the use of such a machine. Books were meant to be read not broken into code and packed into machines. A crime against literature. An abomination.

Epic device altogether.
Purchased one in May and couldn't recommend it highly enough.
The only downfall is that browsing through Easons (or the like) has been diminished somewhat, as the impulse purchase of reading materials is no longer on the agenda.
