Re: Mick McCarthy Appreciation thread
As a player he was rough and ready but never let anyone down.
As a manager he had Millwall playing football, got Sunderland up and was then left without money to consolidate, and frankly he worked wonders with Republic of Ireland in getting them to the second round in the world cup, having been stabbed in the back by one of his players, who has 5 English #### of children.
With ROI he had them playing football, on the ground, and going well. Then the FAI, in a spineless, awe steruck way, stabbed him to allow Roy back. And a lot of good it did them.
and he is doing ok with Wolves.
How did they get on in the late game tonight?

Always have good time for Mick. A straight talker and loyal man in a cesspit of doublespeak and treachery.

Give us an M
His interviews are always class. Simple and honest. The fact that it seems strange only goes to show how f'ed up the whole soccer thing is.
I hear he's being lined up to take over from big Jim in 7 years time when Jim packs it in.

Or earlier if he goes back to college....
Him and Holloway are the only ones worth listening to. Wenger yesterday re sending off..... didn't see it. Well Arsene maybe thats why your teams are constantly cocking up cos you never seem to be watching the games at all ...

Being such a successful manager obviously Arsenal job is his but then again he may hold out for Alex's retirement.

Great to see them wallow in League one now while Ipswich went from strength to strength under the great man last season. If he had been there from the start of the season they would have been promoted.
They will definately make the playoffs this term
