Can't see how this lad could be any good for Dublin Hurling..Whats the point having underage strutures in place if your going to parchute a player in from another county....This is the only thing i would have against Daly....

Yes jim, what do you think of this lad joining the Dublin squad. This is Antos second signing

Good player I know him now, but is this a throw back to the days of Eamonn Morrissey and co throwing their lot in for a year or 3 and then leaving again.mullins wrote:JimWexford wrote:mullins wrote:Cashel Tipp near Clare

The work been done underage in Dublin is been totally undermined by this here you have a county that in the last 5/6 years have
competed in all irealnd 1/4 fina;s senior
U21 finals
minor finals
Senior Schools final won one as the combined colleges and now have broken up into north ans south and are able to compete with both.
developments squads going reasonable as well.
Makes sense alright.
Who was the first signing sorry haven't been paying attention to the national scene at all in the last month or so

Re: Ryan O'Dwyer
I hear the young Wexford half back Stephen(??) Nolan has been training with the Dubs, decent enough hurler in his own right...i believe he has been playing for Ballyboden for the lasyn couple of seasons....
On a side note, do the Dublin lads see Alan McCrabbe on the starting 15 come the summer and if so where, will he be persisted with as a third midfielder/free role or will he be under a bit of pressure now especially as Keaney looks very comfortable on placed balls

Re: Ryan O'Dwyer
I think Daly will find a place for him on the half forward line. He is as good a player as we have IMO.

He is a lovely hurler and a fine stickman and in terms of pure hurling ability I would agree, just that he is somehwhat of a luxury player as he has to be accomodated in a free role to get the best out of him given his size and inability to compete for 50/50 ball.....

He played against Clare during the week-Not a good route for Dublin hurling if Nolan is brought on board..

No but I have heard he has been excellent at club level for the 15 months or so in Dublin....Agreed though, doesn't send out much of a message to the Dublin lads on the fringe of the panel
