Not sure if there's thread on GT about this before but anyone who ever wondered what life is really like in the Wesht of Ireland since the famine could do a lot worse.

Re: Hardy Bucks on the telly now
Thought the first episode was shocking. Not a patch on the web version. Seems like they've toned it down for the TV.
The lads doing it are all school mates of my housemate (good Swinford lads!). The lad behind the camera did film/media studies in college, and recruited a few mates to "star" in his project.
After they did well on the web, RTE gave them a budget to make the TV show. The lads blew approx 90% of it on drink and "other" substances to provide "creative inspiration," and the rest went into the production.
Expect a drop in quality from the web for the rest of the series as well.

It wasn't TOO bad but still wasn't as good as the original ones on the internet.
I normally don't laugh much at Hardy Bucks anyway, so last night wasn't totally different to what I'm used to in terms of laughter (or lack of it).
