hi coolcat welcome to the forum, ye Kilkenny boys weren't as vocal last year when ye were down by 5 points and when your team really needed ye, then when ye go up by a point thats when ye start to get vocal and the "come on the cats" chants start up.

True enough, I think they may have used up their ninth and last life that day.
My team for Sunday would be
1-Callanan (needs to regain the assurance he displayed throughout the league)
2-Joyce (Moore would obviously be first choice but The Cappy man has surprisingly been the most solid of the full back line so far in the championship, needs to improve his distribution)
3-Kav (Tidy, neat and efficient, could do with being a little less nice every now and then)
4-Ollie (Whether its Shefflin, Brennan, Reid or whoever Ollie marks, he will come out on top this Sunday, mark my word)
5- Barry (He had his blip the first day against Offaly, no excuses now)
6- Lee (Its time he got his best position back, Regan is an able replacement)
7- Collins (Has been flying since his return and improving with every game, is expected to be fit again for this, if not put Cullinane back in there)
8- Farragher- (Is there a better hurler in the country right now?The answer is no)
9 - ???? -(With Burke missing our options are Hynes(Beset by injuries this year, does he have a full 70 in him?) Cullinane(would rather see him @ wing back but the odds are he will start here on Sunday), Lynch(Will surely get his first bit of championship action this year come Sunday)Cahalane(Would be my choice, very graceful hurler, had a good league and always good for a couple of points at least)
10- Callinan(I thought Callanan and Smith worked the wings well together last year and would leave them at it, Could always switch to the central role if needed)
11- Tannion (Donnellan has regressed, Chunky is a decent option if required but I reckon the CF slot is the place for Iarlath to really demonstrate what he can do, needs to be involed in the action)
12- Smith ( The man to put Tommy Walsh back in his box)
13- Joe (With the freedom of the pitch)
14- Damien (Hickey won't know what hit him)
15- Harte (If fully fit. His overall play and workrate has been astounding this year. If he sorted out his accuracy we'd be set. Word is that Ritchy Cummins may get a run sooner rather than later for Galway this year
Mcyntire usually announces his teams on Thursdays after training but I've a feeling that may be different this time around. There were 3 changes to the team published in the programme last Saturday evening so we probably won't know exactly whats what until the lads actually take to the field in Croker this Sunday.

hi clash-of-da-ash i do think u should not worry about how or when the kk fans start shouting or chanting for their team .What u should be worried about is how galway are going to play againsted a very strong kk team on sunday this kk team has never been as strong there is no injurys and have a full panel to pick from And i hope ur not forgetting that if the ref or umpires were on the ball the first day against offaly u would not be in the leinster final [ger farraghers point that was not]

Don't take it personally. Other than Clash, Turlough, Hag,Sami and NSG theres no one really worth replying to on this forum when it comes to hurling.
The rest is all no more than gentle banter, no harm in that either.

Re: Galway vs Kilkenny - The Actual Leinster Final
Well from listening to the game on the radio is it fair comment to say the Cats toyed with us? They dominated the aerial battle and were first to every breaking ball by the sounds of it. It could have been a bigger scoreline too as it seems they stepped off the gas a bit towards the end knowing we were well beat. The only decent spell we had was after the goal and that was brief. Damien Hayes was about the best we had today.
I'm at a loss to know what any of us do to beat this Cat's team? Hogan goes off and Tennyson comes on, the strength in depth is awesome.
As for this tribesman well, I'll let it simmer for a few days, forget about it for a few more and then convince myself that the back door is the path to greatness for us this year!

Yep - we all know nothing. Just tipped a KK walk in the park and it happened. Galway - and others, nowhere near this KK team. Been saying it for years now... someday these Galway/Tipp etc pretenders will listen.
5 in a row - its in the bag - and don't think the Cats will let it out of the bag.

A guy said to me today he reckons they are better than Micko's Kerry team. I didn't disagree.

Re: Galway vs Kilkenny - The Actual Leinster Final
Very hard to disagree.
Coady to me is the ultimate in man management ask Cha Fitz, possibly one of the greatest hurlers not to be involved in the last 2 years of hurling because he will not tow the line.
Every county in Ireland would have Cha and accommodate him no matter what but not Coady

I think Henry is the greatest forward I have seen wield a stick - and some compare him to Joe No-Show ... And Tommy Walsh - the guy must have no room left in the house with all the MotM awards.
