Even as poor as they are, I'd agree with that. Westmeath were very disappointing yesterday.

I was hoping we'd lose yesterday and get Derry in Celtic Park.
Pity as I'd loved a trip to the Maiden City.
Meath-Derry All-Ireland Final still on the cards.

You have a decent chance of being half-right.

Thought we played well in parts yesterday, to be fair.

Now, now Loyal, only Patrique is allowed to deliberately mis-interpret posts on here....
And yes, you were very good yesterday - glad to see it - finally, the race for Sam has become interesting.

Re: Westmeath vs Derry
I think we should beat WM by at least 10 points, please note i said SHOULD!!
I'm really hoping for a good run in the qualifiers now so the players can show a bit of unity in the camp after the departure of the disruption. I've been hearing a heck of a lot of rumours that came from the Derry camp in the last month or so and now the root problem has gone there is no reason why we shouldn't just kick on and do something!
Interesting to see his brother stayed on the panel despite the disruptions, he worked very hard to get on it and fair play to him for not giving up so easily!

Re: Westmeath vs Derry
Derry should be far too good for us, especially now that they have less disruptive influences in the camp. All I hope is that WH learn that their teammates also wear maroon and distibute the ball to one of them instead of passing to the opposition . Considering that we have lost every competitive game (apart from defeating historically the worst team in Leinster twice) since beating Tipp almost years ago the result iin the next game seems inevitable. One hope is that a home game and the tight dimensions of Cusack Park may aid ou porous defence. I suspect a repeat of the 04 result for Derry.

It will be sad to see one of these teams go out .... as I think they are about the only ones we ever beat in the qualifiers/quarters ...

not sure that all the disruptions have been removed from the Derry panel - i see brother Eoin is doing his best to stir the sh!t as far as Paddy is concerned.

Re: Westmeath vs Derry
Another win for Derry. A year ago, we'd have had it a couple of times over by now about how Derry would go on and kick the living daylights out of everyone in their way. In the absense of since departed posters, it looks like its up to me to post such postings. Meath and Derry All-Ireland Final still on the cards.

Re: Westmeath vs Derry
Can't really comment on the match until i see it or the highlights tomorrow. Still a great win with 14 men, proving that we don't need Paddy "Do you know who i am" Bradley to get scores!
This one's for you Loyal, we'll kick on now and beat the living daylights out of anyone (we just may not beat them!!)
