Re: Galway v Wexico
Wexford are the shock merchants. Who gave them a chance against Limerick in 2001? Game was over after a minute when Rory McCarthy scored one of the greatest goals I've ever seen scored in Croke Park. Remember they nearly beat Cork in 2003, Rory McCarthy again in the last minute sent the game to a replay. 2004 and Kilkenny looking for their seventh Leinster championship in a row, nobody told Michael Jacob. Who knocked Tipperary out in 2007? All this talk of this wonderful Galway team is setting it up nicely for a Wexford ambush.

Re: Galway v Wexico
It was a different Wexford team back then though, while most of the players in 2007 are still playing they are that bit older which makes all the difference and they don't have Ruth or Fitzhenry anymore two vital players that day in 2007.

Well done Galway a good test for you at times ...A lot of wides plenty to work on before the next game..Was very impressed with canning surely its only a matter of time before he gets a celtic cross..Referee done everything he could to destroy the game...
Galway will beat Offally and move on to a Leinster final against the Cats-this game should tell us if Galway have what it takes to win Liam....

On tonight's evidence it's a foregone conclusion where Liam will winter...KK in quest of immortality ....Cody and his backroom mentors aren't fools..While Galway have a lock of top hurlers they, on tonight's performance, lack the passion, craft and expertise to dethrone the Cats in their quest for Exclusivity...

Wasn't a good display by Galway and we were still lucky to get away with the win. Better off having an off day against Wexford than against KK, still ended up winning by 12 points but it was very close at times. I don't think Galway will play as bad as they did yesterday for the rest of the championship, they are better than that even though they didn't show it yesterday.

Will need to sort the wides out. Not often you leave a ground having won by 11 odd points playing badly. No's 1-9 were fairly rock solid, Callinnan best kepper in the country bar none, but Burke and Harte will need a lot of shooting practise before they meet Kilkenny or we're fooked. Donnellan and Gantly unlikely to hold their places for the Offaly game after yesterday. I'd expect Callanan and Hynes both to come in and maybe Tannion to start as well seen as Smith is out. Chunky might even figure at some stage.
Fair play to the lads, they stepped up when down to 14 and Wexford started coming back at them a bit in 2nd half. A side that will not lack for charcter and resolve as the year goes on.
