Why don't people post
This site amazes me sometimes. You have plenty of people logged on at all times and few of them post. Unlike some other sites where there is nothing but drivel and nonsense there are plenty of interesting threads and topics but still people don't contribute. What is the point in joining a forum unless you post.

Re: Why don't people post
I agree. 'Tis an awful pity that posters don't contribute more. I have been on here on a Saturday afternoon many's the time, and the last comment would be from early morning. This is a fantastic facility and people should avail of it more often, posting your opinions on GAA, sport, etc. I'm no angel(extremely busy with study) but if we want this site to be the best, we're going to have to contribute more. For example-where the heck has Richy gone? I mean has this lad disappeared off the face of the Earth or something?
Lesson today-post more, it's annoying when ya see members logged in and saying nothing-shure you'd be wondering what they're doing!

Re: Why don't people post
Well I can confess that on occasions when at work I might log in in the morning and be logged in all day but only end up having a browse once or twice.
so maybe others in the same boat hence 6/7 peole logged in but no one actually reading or looking.
Anyway only two hours of a 13 hour day left so back to manure manufacture

I'd be the same as Rua, log in and leave a GT tab open and idle. Anyways it should be about the quality of discussion not the quantity.

Discussion will probably be slow until both the hurling and football league are in full swing as well as the club championships over.

Ah great contributions indeed. I spend a lot of time on the net and this is one of my favourites. It seems to me that there are a few very good posters and the rest just come to ogle.

I blame Captain Morgan (The Pirate) Arrrrgh!
...for this subsequent hangover of course.
I'd be the same as the rest, logged in but only browsing.

I think I'd need a bottle of Captain Morgan just to understand this statement.

Re: Why don't people post
Most sites are made up of Lurkers with far fewer posters. I just checked a very popular Irish site with in excess of 3k members and they had 2 lurkers for every one regustered user. Tis a fact of life I'm afraid and I've no problem with it tbh. If they want to only read then dead on. If you want to post then fire away.

Alas no, I've moved on to far more interesting legal topics such as the quantitative restrictions of trade in the EU.

Surely the whole point is that there shouldn't be any Seb!
Please let us have your findings on this one when appropriate!
