Sepp Blatter - a**ehole of the year
Well wasn't it nice to see Mr Fair Play laugh with his media friends at Ireland's suggestion that they be included a in WC as the 33rd team. Stupid request by the FAI but he should not have dealt with it in that manner. He f***ing knows we were cheated out of the Finals - the least he could have done was keep a straight face. Instead he ridiculed us. Mr Fair Play indeed. What a wa**er. If I was the FAI I'd tell him to shove the Europa 'Johnston Paints' Final up his ar*e! The top man of world football - no wonder it is full of cheats, divers, betting frauds, dodgy agents etc etc. F**k them all - we have the GAA!

I saw this clipe on the late news last night and for some reason was instantly reminded of Boycie, the oily smirk followed by the chirpy cackle of a laugh.....Slimeball..
Soccerball on the way out here I think. Where are the FAI going to find the €70m. the cough up their share of the new park????

What an absolute p****. Seen the headline yesterday and felt slightly embarassed by the FAI's request. But to see him openly ridicule the request was shameful.
Would really love to get a few lads together, go to the world cup, attend all the french matches. Head to toe in green, belt out amhrán na bhfiann during the marseillaise and be an ignorant p**** see how the french like it.

When i found out that the FAI had asked for an extra place i was mortified, if they weren't gonna get a replay then there was no chance we would get a good will entry into the World Cup, but the contempt that FIFA and Septic have shown us was utterly disgraceful!
It's been said on here enough that they simply don't give a sh1t about a small nation like us who could really have done with the boost to the economy that qualification to a World Cup would have given us. Wank3rs the lot of them!!!

i read an article at the weekend were Blatter said he phoned Henry after the incident to offer his support. More like he rang him to let him know the whereabouts of his share of the brown envelope

They will have this meeting on Wednesday and then come out with a statement urging players to have more fairplay so they won't have to scrap the whole fairplay campaign that they have.

Mr Blatter is a corrupt imbecile. This is an ideal opportunity for the GAA to get after the youngsters of this country. They should be dissuaded from being involved in a sport where cheats win and the head organisation laughs openly at this cheating and this country. Bring back the ban than was here before. Soccer has NO credibility anymore. I hate it.

Did he though? I though he said he was sorry if other people misinterpreted his words ... not that he was sorry he said them
Here's his quote ...
"I would like to express my regrets to a wrong interpretation of what I said and to the FAI I'm sorry about the headlines going around the world."
No mention of him doing anything wrong - other people were to blame for mishearing his words and the media are to blame for printing headlines!!

World Cup 2010: France fume at seedings 'injustice'
France have called Fifa's decision not to include them as one of the seeds for the World Cup 2010 draw as an "injustice".
And the French are having to come to terms with a possible double whammy after learning Thierry Henry could be banned for the start of the World Cup 2010 finals.
ifa have denied France are being punished for Henry's infamous handball in the play-off against the Republic of Ireland, saying the seedings based on October's world rankings represented the best teams in the world.
Henry could pick up a ban that would affect the start of next summer's finals after Fifa announced their disciplinary committee had opened proceedings against him for the handball.
Former France coach Michel Hidalgo said: “At the highest level of football, there has to be comprehensive moral justice - and I don’t know why France isn’t a top seed.
“There are sporting regulations that have not been applied by Fifa. These are exorbitant charges and simply wrong.
“Look at the facts: France were world champions in 1998 and runners-up in 2006.
“Who made Argentina top seeds? And what have England done to be top seeds, apart from having a league full of foreign players?
“I am asking myself if this is not a sanction for the handball of Henry.
“It is an injustice, pure and simple. It’s not for me to point a finger, but it does seem like the whole of France is being sanctioned for what one player did in one game.”
However, Fifa general secretary Jerome Valcke - himself French - has insisted there was no agenda against Les Bleus.
Valcke said: "France qualified after additional matches and were not even first in their group. Why should playing more matches and gaining more points kick out England, who qualified with a good campaign? We used purely sporting criteria. France-Ireland was never part of the discussions."
