Yeah Damien Fitz was good this decade as was Cusack and Fitzgerald but I think Cummins was a lot better this decade.

i would have thought the Lohan brothers would deserve a mention there too if not a place on the team for at least one of them.

Re: Hurling Team of the Decade
Well its just a matter of opinion and I tried to pick players who lasted the whole decade, won all stars and where I could players who won All Irelands.

NSG - i know its your opinion and its a decent team but i wouldnt have Gardiner within an arses roar of the team of the decade. There are several better centre backs than him Jim mentioned a few of them - you could also include Ken Mc Grath and Tony Browne

Re: Hurling Team of the Decade
Dono I genuinely believe that JG was solid and tidy not to mention his ability to hit long frees, with regard to Browne and McGrath i regard them as good players but not great players they didnt seem up to it when it came to the really high tempo games ie all ireland semis.

Re: Hurling Team of the Decade
I LOVED Paul Flynn.
I would have Fitzhenry in goal, just about gets it from McGarry.
As an ex goalie, on Davy Fitz's level say, I know about these things.
