DJ Suffers Heart attack
Former Kilkenny hurling All Star DJ Carey has been taken to hospital after suffering a suspected heart attack.
Gardai say he collapsed in a public office in Kilkenny city this afternoon and was admitted to the local St Luke's hospital.
His condition is described as stable.
Widely acknowledged as one of the greatest hurlers ever to play the game, 41-year-old Carey enjoyed a glittering career with the Cats, winning five All-Ireland titles and nine All Star awards.
Carey retired from inter-county hurling in 2006, but continued to play for club side Young Irelands of Gowran.
best wishes for a full recovery DJ

Re: DJ Suffers Heart attack
It's probably to DJ's benefit that the Boxtyeater entourage have successfully concluded their business in Kilkenny hospital...
A top class health facility with efficient staff and parking at only €4 a visit..... Boxtyeater wasn't long in sussing out the remedy to that little scam...
It's been an arduous time for the Dodger, with one woe following another as his personal life unravels.
Best wishes for a full recovery DJ, "your health is your wealth" never rang truer than today I'd say.
