Rate the Ref
There are several different area's in which you can rate the referee. They are...
1. Did the referee keep control of the game throughout the match?
2. Did the referee penalise the player fairly when a foul was committed?
3. Was the referee biased?
4. Overall rating
The refree is to be rated on a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being extremerely poor. 10 being Excellent.
When you rate a referee please remember to name the match.

Re: Rate the Ref
Referee: Pat McEneaney (Monaghan)
Match: Dublin V Kerry NFL.
Boxtyeaters Rating: 10/10.
Observations: He was up to the pace of the game, his authority was never in any doubt, he applied common sense (an item that is not that common) and he appeared to be enjoying himself.
He was helped by both teams who provided an absorbing contest to the end.

Re: Rate the Ref
Not gonna over-moan Boxty but I felt Pat gave a few key decision the wrong way today. Dublin couldn't buy a free in the second half and Kerry got a lot of 'soft' ones I felt. But he is a great man to let the game flow.

Re: Rate the Ref
i agree with you Jayo - he wasnt implementing the new rules at all and that only leads to confusion all round - i think Pat actually done more harm than good today.

Re: Rate the Ref
Who was the referee in the Tyrone Derry game?
Thought he did an excellent job myself and was absolutely horrified to see a few well respected and highly thought of posters suggest otherwise!

There are several different area's in which you can rate the referee. They are...
Meath Ref- Derry V Tyrone
1. Did the referee keep control of the game throughout the match? Generally yes, however a couple of scrappy incidents
2. Did the referee penalise the player fairly when a foul was committed? No for a number of occasions concerning both Derry and Tyrone players, Mc Guigan and Mc Goldrick to name 2.
3. Was the referee biased? Not in favour of any one team, bias probably went against both teams!
4. Overall rating 5/10

Re: Rate the Ref
Dublin vs. Clare (Hurling)
1. He did keep control - 10/10
2. He most definitly did not - having noted Clares No6 (Bulger I think) He didn't show him a yellow despite talking to him at least twice afterwards
-He also told two players to stop shoving each other, and they continued to do it but he didn't punish them
3. Not too bad - but he did give Clare a free for a soft push (Fell like a sack of spuds), but straight afterwards up the other end he didn't give a clear push against Clare
4. Could have been worse - 6/10
