Nice that you have put this in general talk as distinct from 'other sports'. Obvious recognition that a bunch of 5th Division no marks getting a day out at Wembley (and not having to pay the tour guide) is clearly not sport....
York - apart from the Cathedral ... I mean -- what?? And don't say Duke - cos that's John Wayne.

the MINSTER Jayo, MINSTER!
York is brilliant:
The Minster
Roman city walls
Clifford's Tower
Theatre Royal
Grand Opera House
York Abbey
Minster gardens
Abbey gardens
The Shambles
Whip-ma-wop-ma-gate (the world's shortest street)
Coppergate
Jorvik
River Ouse
York Station
Merchant Adventurer's Hall
Bootham Crescent
what a place

the MINSTER Jayo, MINSTER!
York is brilliant:
The Minster - as in Yes Minster?
Roman city walls - the last time ye had civilization there too
Clifford's Tower - the big red dog has a tower there?
Theatre Royal - nonsense - it was in Hawkins St Dublin 2 but knocked down years ago
Grand Opera House - eh Sydney
York Abbey - Is that the start of a lullaby?
Minster gardens - really - like grass and stuff?
Abbey gardens - really - like flowers and stuff?
The Shambles - yes absolutely correct!!
Whip-ma-wop-ma-gate (the world's shortest street) - sounds like an Enoch Powell type street to me ....
Coppergate - Some policeman caught on the fiddle?
Jorvik - Your equivalent of Jedward?
River Ouse - So you have a river 'ouse - Cockney innit?
York Station - police, train, bus?
Merchant Adventurer's Hall - Is this a Monty Python sketch?
Bootham Crescent - Boot them into the stand indeed!
what a place - indeed - what a place

Re: Wembleyyyyyy
Both teams have probably played on better pitches this year than the one they'll find at Wembley!
