One of the good guys in broadcasting, i listened to him via the internet whenever i got the chance and converted quite a few English folk to the GR Show! Gutted, truly gutted.

Not a huge fan but no doubt he changed the broadcasting landscape in this country and pushed the boundaries - all for the better. 53 is far too young to be checking out and leaving five young ones. RIP Gerry - a unique talent no doubt.

Personally found him very annoying, at the same time though it was clear he was full of good intentions and really cared about people. He will be missed by many. RIP Gerry
