Jayo, or somebody else in a position of authority, such as Addy:

Where is the Gaeilge forum gone? I think it's absolutely imperitive to have a forum as gaeilge on this site, to promote our native language and to encourage it to be spoken i measc na ndaoine anseo.

Mar sin, I propose we reintroduce this vital part of this website and I promise I will post in it regularly, and try to entice others to do likewise. There are a few gaeilgóirs on this site and I think it's something which is needed to strengthen our sense of identity and culture.

So, for Christmas I would like a new forum as gaeilge!

Essie, I like the idea, but in reality there are hardly enough posters to keep some of the other fora/threads going.

How many fluent people are there on here?

RKF? RMD? Any of the Galways lads? Any lads from a "non-traditional Gaeltacht area"?

You've witnessed the extent of my Irish with those 2 sentences.
The Irish section was simply not used and that's why it was removed. I reckon an Irish thread in the non-GAA section is the way to go. If it get's enough traffic then we can consider making it a sticky.

It's the way everywhere. I'm not fluent btw. I'd love to be though. Ya well I'll leave it to Essie - she seems to be fluent - she can create a thread and if popular, sticky it.
