Jimmy Keaveney - greatest ever.
I don't think there is much argument about this one. Surely Jimmy was the greatest ever? His accuracy from deadballs, the 'stickability' when the ball went into him, his presence as a target man, his ability to convert a half chance, his eye for goal, his athleticism. Surely the greatest forward to lace up a pair of boots. He won matches on his own and made ordinary players around him look like superstars. A true legend.

Aye - it wasn't the easiest thing in the world to 'round your man' when Jimmy was playing!

I know this has nothing to do with Jimmy but Jayo I was wondering do you know much about Gareth Smith. He plays for Kilmacud Crokes. Talk of him declaring for Cavan.

Gareth "Nesty" Smith plays for Plunketts.
His parents are from Cavan so he would be eligible to play for them.
He's a decent footballer that never got a chance with Dublin so why not?

Off the topic I know but I think its a disgrace that Carr is bringing in Gareth Smith.. What kind of message does that send to promising young forwards in Cavan to be bringing in a man who cant make the Dublin team?

Well Jon Smith create a topic around it. Or else sack the manager? Will he get you 1-2 or 0-5? This is the question!

Aplogies for straying off topic Jayo, still getting used to the forum and finding out where to start threads etc. (But id rather see Paddy Gumley getting 1-2 than see Gareth Smith get 5 points!)

pretty sure it is, although, with this place, you never know! maybe you should ask Jayo seeing as he thinks he's the authority on just about everything.
