Great work BE, I've no doubt it's not easy doing all this and it's a credit to you. HS do their "Friday Interview" but the questions are often generic and the facility for posters to ask their own questions is really a unique feature. (Even if it just seems to be the usual suspects asking them)
Get one of the Cavan lads next I have a list of questions for the likes of Barry Reilly.

Re: In Focus...Discussion Thread
I'm looking at starting this up again in the new year folks, i am going to approach a potiental subject very soon and Bocerty has already approached a potiental subject for us. Hopefully we will have a positive response very soon.
I plan on keeping the same format, having clubs & GAA bodies as subjects. If you have any ideas of ways you feel the section could be improved then please post them here.

Personally, my favourite subjects were actually the players - Philly Jordan, PJ Ward and Clerkin were all superb. The clubs and officials were very interesting, but I think that there should be at least as many players interviewed as officials (if possible). You could also try a manager or 2, or high profile coach. Or maybe even a media personality. Obviously this is a wishlist as much as anything, but, as it is Christmas, it seems like the time of year for such a thing. I like the format and feel that the Questions going to you works very well. Maybe aim for one every 3 weeks, if possible. I personally wouldn't just go down the clubs route.
I think it is a super feature, and thanks again for your hard work on it.

Re: In Focus...Discussion Thread
I'm testing the waters here and indeed flying my own flag, but would there be a forum interest in a Q&A with Packy McGarty
An amenable sort, with legitimate claims to being the greatest half-forward of the century, would with Boxty's persuasion , come on board for "one last hurrah"
Packy needs no more "Hurrahs", but he's 80 next year and can give an insightful perspective of the game.
What a feckin' avatar,,,,,It's taken years.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: In Focus...Discussion Thread
Boxty, i'd love to get a player from that generation to take part, perhaps you could help facilitate?
Fair points TC, the reason i started the discussions was to get the views of the forum members. I'd love to get a journo to take part! I have approached a high profile manager in the past but got ignored, again it's an avenue i'd love to explore.
Interesting side note on your point about the numbers of players to the numbers of boards/clubs, we have had 7 interviews in total, 3 players to 4 boards/clubs, it would have been a 50/50 split had Paul Donnelly replied with his answers! I know some on here mocked his selection as a subject but i genuinely thought it would've been the best of the lot simply due to the questions asked.
What's the feeling from the rest of you with the boards/clubs In Focus?

Re: In Focus...Discussion Thread
I would like to see Hurling, but we don't have many hurling fans so would be pointless? Or could it be an opportunity to get some more hurling fans on board?
Re: In Focus...Discussion Thread
Great feature - the pity - aned surprise- is that we don't get any new members out of it! Be great to get Giller - he's not doing anything at the moment.
