__________________________________________________________________________
Dick Clerkin is a footballer that is renowned as one of the finest midfield footballers in Ireland, the Sons of St. Patrick, Currin GFC clubman is a figure that has stepped out of the shadow of having a Monaghan legend as a father. He is a hard working, no nonsense, former captain of his county and played an important role in the Monaghan side that reached the 2007 Ulster Championship Final and then progressed to the All Ireland Quarter-final, losing to eventual All Ireland Champions Kerry by a single point. 2007 ended on a high note for Clerkin as he collected an Inter-Provincial winners medal with Ulster. In 2010 Monaghan reached the Ulster final only to be again defeated by Tyrone however Dick was rewarded for a great season when he was selected in the Irish News Ulster All Star team in Midfield, along with a nomination for a GPA All Star award.
A Process Engineer by day, Dick is a passionate clubman and played a pivotal role in the helping his beloved Currin GFC rise from their traditional Junior ranks to Senior football for the 2012 season, their first time in their 125 year history, and they have more than held their own to date

Bald Eagle on fire here! Another top name, and our first current intercounty star. An abrasive but very under-rated footballer. Great stuff - looking forward to it!

Another great coup from BE - fair play. Dick Clerkin - love him or hate him or love to hate him - but you cannot but respect him. Will have to think of a few good ones for the man and fair play to him for participating. Am veering towards liking him already!

Less than 24 hours folks, a lot of posters not taking up the opportunity.
Surely all our active posters can think of 1 (GAA/sport related) question they'd like to ask?
