May10th Club Day
As you may or may not know May the 10th has been put aside as club day. Just wondering do any of ye have anything to do with running your clubs and if so what are they doing.
Doing the lazy thing and looking to poach others ideas
Anything other that just dragging all the 8's & 10's ovedr to the park and getting them to do a mini blitz.

Re: May10th Club Day
hey Jim, while i am no longer involved with my club at board or commitee level the ideas i would put forward for this would be,
1. have a skill day at the park, ranging from U8-senior
activitys would range from
Under 12
longest kick
point scoring
Solo Runs
penalty shootout
Under 14-16
Longest kick
Point scoring ( longer distence )
Penalty shootout
Tug- Of war
Under 16-18
Long range point taking
penalty shootout
tug-of war
speed relay with the ball
Senior
Long range point taking
penalty shootout
tug of war
also have matches at all age groups
followed by an " old vs young" match where this years team takes on a team of older players from the club
or you could do a Married vs single match.
have sweets, minerals, hot food BBQ,
medles for all ect.

Thanks Rich will take all on board except for the Tug of War.
That is a ritiual sport in this part of the World. The famous Boley team are from my parish. We might not have alot of all-ireland football medals (none in fact, we have two hurling, this is @ intercounty senior) we possible have more world titles and all_irelands than the rest of the country put together in tug of war
