Annoying match behaviour
What things tend to annoy you when attending GAA matches?
For me theres a few,
-Sitting in a seated stadium with ticket arrangements and you end up with an over-weight person each side. Squeezing the oul man bits to pieces !
-Price of food at matches. 4 euro for a rubbery burger, stick it up your ****.
-Overcrowding on walkways approaching and leaving a grounds. Nothing worse than people constantly walking on your heels.
-The new fence in Croke Park.
-Stewarts at club matches being over-active. Acting like North-Korean gaurds etc
-Half Blind people, that constantly ask "whose he?" whenever the ball comes into the proximity of a player further than 30 yards away.
What annoys you about goin to matches?

When the other team score more than the team I'm supporting. Really ticks me off!

Re: Annoying match behaviour
I really hate when the Mayo minor supporters sit on their arses for 69 minutes and 50 seconds and then jump to life when Cork score the lead point. What part of ****ing Cork are they from.
I also hate getting single letter and up to LL lower stand tickets on a wet day.
I also hate when opposition supporters come straight to the game from cutting the silage - without changing their wellies.
And when they unpack the egg and onion sandwiches.
Finally I hate when someone asks you to put out your cigarette when you are enjoying the first drag ....

Re: Annoying match behaviour
I hate the haters. The ones who come to a game and proceed to give out about everything for the whole game in the loudest possible voice.
When his team makes a mistake .. they are "£$%&*
When his team plays well ... y are "£$%&* for not doing that all the time
The refs a "£$%&*
The manager's a "£$%&*
The drive there was a "£$%&*
The drive back will be a "£$%&*
The sun is too "£$%&* bright
The rain is too "£$%&* wet
The buger is "£$%&*
The pitch is "£$%&*
Why the **** do you go to the games at all if it makes you that unhappy. If you can go through a while game without saying anyting positive about anything then following your club or county is not for you.

Jaysus don't be such a misbreable kont.
Clearly, the thread is about certain things that people find annoying at games.
It doesn't mean the people shouldn't go to games because of the possibilty of an annoying event(s) occuring.
I don't like you. But it doesn't stop me posting here does it?

Re: Annoying match behaviour
At the All-Ireland final in 2008, I was on the Hill and some absolute lunatic from Kilkenny drove me demented. He was shouting *****, asking me if I was supporting the referee (as I had neither a Kilkenny or Waterford jersey) and chanting out of time. He even spat at me by accident due to the passion with which he was shouting *****.
What an annoying twat.

I also hate certain county chants .........
Tipp, Tipp, Tipp, Tipp
Meath, Meath, Meath, Meath
Laois, Laois, Laois, Laois
Anything with one syllable really ......... sounds awful ...

Teams that celebrate every fooking free as if it was the winning score (Tipp the most notable culprits, but they're not the only ones).
"The opposition got pulled for overcarrying. At centre field. After 40 minutes. That's such a boost that I feel the need to celebrate more than I would for a point."

Agreed
The Laois one is more like 'Laoislaoislaoislaoislaois' which makes them sound quite simian in nature.

I wouldn't be a fan of "supporters" storming onto a pitch to make/attempt a skelp at a referee either, whatever the situation....
So called "supporters" loudly booing opposition players is not very pleasant either I might add......

The way when Pat McEnaney referees a game between an Ulster team and a non-Ulster team he gets accused of being a 'Nordie' conspirator or a Free State b*****d. A man from the inbetweener counties just can't win.

Is that the same Pat McEneaney who didn't see Benny having his lunch in the square before the ball arrived when the Down Nordies were playing the Lily FSBs?
