There still ranting about Diarmad Kirwan over on PV, the fools, but what exactly do people think are the worst or most infamous officiating decisions ever, not just in GAA but in any sport. I'll get the ball rolling.

Suspensions: How they changed the course of All-Ireland history Tony Keady

Galway's All-Ireland
three-in-a-row bid was severely damaged by a 12-month suspension,
imposed on their All Star centre-back weeks before they were due to
play Tipperary in the All-Ireland semi-final. He was banned for allegedly not having the proper clearance to play in New York
after remaining on for a few weeks following an All Star tour. Galway
pursued every avenue, including threatening to withdraw from the
semi-final, before having a late appeal for Keady's reinstatement
beaten on a 20-18 Central Council vote.A few months later
several others who had also played illegally in New York around the
same time were granted an amnesty by Central Council without even
having their names released. The absence of Keady, who had been Hurler
of the Year in 1988, allied to the distraction of the protracted
controversy, had a disruptive impact on Galway. They lost the semi-final to Tipperary, who went on to win the All-Ireland.

There are always ones that people claim will/would have changed things true be known we'll never know.
In wexford it would be steps and DJ
Barney Rock in '83 how he stayed on the field rather than been sent off before the game.

But then thw "big boys" always get the breaks.

Has to be a joint choice for two of the worst refereeing decisions of all time. Both against Dublin - needless to say - first against Tyrone last year and another against Kerry this year.

Yes the most atrocious decisions a ref every made .......... throwing the ball in to start the game ........ Most infamous officiating decisions of all time Icon_redface

In the case of Tony Keady I found proof that Tipp didn't have the objection in within the 7 days which is stated in the rules and it took 10 days for them to object.
