Is this guy football's worst journeyman manager?  Much maligned as Mickey Moran may be, he once reached an AI final, and at least his teams always tried to play good football, a plaudit unlikely to ever be paid to one of O'Flaharta's defensive sides.

Laois have appointed him as their manager for 2014, following his spells with Westmeath (2006-2009) and Galway (2011).  His combined achievements over 5 years with those counties are as follows:

- Played in division 1 of league in 3 seasons - relegated in all of them;
- Never got beyond a provincial semi-final in any of 5 seasons;
- Only once made it to 3rd round of qualifiers (2006);
- Last 2 championship games with Westmeath lost by total of 37 points;
- Won 1 out of his last 11 competitive games as Westmeath manager (vs Wicklow).
- Won 1 out of 9 total competitive games as Galway manager.

People of Laois, good luck….

Any 2 of the stats provided would give cause for alarm. 3 would be a turn off even for Leitrim.
It must be the most staggering CV of all time, but Hey! it's Christmas.**

** In O'Flaharta's at any rate.
