Along with Sharapova, Ivanovic and, for the ladies, Tsonga and Nadal. it's not a great tournament to be pretty!

Though thank god for Sergiy Stakhovsky's wife - she's on camera that often, you'd swear that it was her who was on the brink of defeating Federer!

Never had any interest since the departure from Center Court of the lovely and talented Gabriela....I never knew if she won many Wimbledons, as I often forgot about the score when watching those graceful legs, the charming smile and twinkle of mischief lurking behind those smouldering eyes.

Ah, I remember her well - the darling of the pampas. Never won Wimbledon, although I recall her narrowly losing a final to that model of German efficiency, Mrs Andre Agassi.

Apparently, at the mention of Germany, it has been customary to burst into a verse of "Deutchland uber alles" when inter-reacting with colleagues.
Common practise here 5 years ago....

I see that Paddypower are going 8/11 Djokovic, 6/4 Murray and 30-1 bar.

England's favourite Scot will never have a better chance of winning the big one.

Re: Wimbledon 2013

Great day had at Wimbledon.  Up at 4am and in the queue at 5am.  Quickly realised that i wasn't going to be getting a centre court ticket, especially after I saw 50-60 tents camping out on a Saturday morning for Monday's tickets.  Still, got a ground pass, and was in by 10.30am.

I've been before, and never fail to be impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of everyone involved.  The volunteers really want their event to be a success, and give the impression of seeking out people to assist, as opposed to hiding from them.

Saw some men's doubles on the tiny court 7, Li Na on the excellent Court 3, and watched Laura Robson on Henman Hill (badly sunburnt).  At about 8pm I sorted a return ticket (£10) and got onto centre court for the Serena Williams v Kimiko Date match.  Great event under the roof & lights, and the crowd gave the Japanese lady all the support that she could have hoped for (all that stuff Sue Barker tells us about the crowd loving Serena? Don't believe a word of it).

All finished up at 9.30pm, tired, burnt, but a mighty day's entertainment.  A bit like the Olympics, this was a highly friendly and well organised show - highly recommended.

The "crosshairs" for the second shot were not exactly focussed on server or serve receiver.

It's amazing how discreet you can be with a 200mm lens

Djokovic and Del Potro in the 5th set. The Argentinian has looked shattered for the last hour, but still hanging in there.

Best match I've seen in a long time...

SW 19 will be hitting low 30's in the shade Sunday afternoon stick another 30pc on that for centre court. Could well be a war if attrition

So, is today the day when Britain finally gets its Wimbledon champion?

These are the 2 best players in the world right now, and it could be an absolute classic. You'd have to favour Djokovic, but Murray is well capable of beating him.

Murray 2-0 up, although also led by 2 at the US Open, before having to dig out a win in the fifth set.

Playing very well though, and Djokovic really has to up his game or this will soon be over.

Well done Andy Murray. Outstanding performance, and completely dominated the world's no.1.

I can't think of any other sportsman who has carried the expectations of a nation on his shoulders to the extent that Murray has over the last few summers. Tremendous achievement under the greatest of sporting pressure.

He played brilliant in fairness TC, never looked in doubt and under the pressure of a nation that only made it more impressive for me. Thats SPOTY sorted eh?

Oh yeah, his missus is pleasing on the eye too, watch the Brit Medja go after her now!
