Hockey - an inspiration
Disputed goal between Germany and New Zealand. All parties come together to discuss the validity of goal, two captains, referee, umpire, video personnel. Rulebook is consulted. After five minutes of deliberation, goal is disallowed, and referee calmly explains the decision to team captains who accept the decision and move on.

Re: Hockey - an inspiration
A common sense approach to officiating, combined with honesty and respect from players - sounds so simple, and yet it seems alien to us in a GAA context.
As articulated on Mossbags' 'Football is finished' thread, I'm convinced that this should be the major focus for the GAA over the next five years, long before they even consider radicalising the playing rules.
