Air Force One today.

Flat track, good ground, everything in his favour today.

Its now or never for this horse if you ask me. Has the potential to be as good as Kauto Star or Denman once conditions are right.

I dislike horse-racing for that reason. It's all about betting and people turning a blind eye to the cruelty. Mad

Well the whips for one - and don't tell me they don't use them because I live beside a guy who breeds and trains racehorses and the beating of the horses that goes on is terrible. Also, once a racehorse is injured in a race, a broken leg, etc, it's either shot or forgotten about. Nobody gives a crap about what will happen to it, they just move on to their next horse.

The horses barely feel the whips. They are designed not to hurt them, all they do is persuade the horse to concentrate on what he is doing really.

Also, horses by nature like to run, if you ask me, it would be a much bigger cruelty if Exotic Dancer had been stuck in a field all of his life.

If you don't mind me asking what is the name of the lad you live beside?

What do you mean the horses don't feel the whips? Are ya jokin. I remember visiting this guy's fields and one of the horses came limping out with blood pouring from him. It wasn't the same guy I know though. So that was two separate breeders mistreating horses. Also, I'd prefer not to mention his name cause my cousin knows the family well.

Horses dont feel pain like we do. Thats why people think it is cruel because they associate with the pain.
If anything horses are treated better than any other animal as the owner benefits from the horse winning. So it is win win for all parties.

What do you think happens to a horse who doesn't rum well. Cause the horse I saw did look pretty battered with the blood and all unless he 'didn't feel it'.

I dont know what goes on behind the scenes in horse racing and im not going to pretend I do either. Its just your opinion on it. Horses have a mind of their own if they dont like it then they will not run. I have seen races where the horse just stays in the starting block.

The only thing that I find cruel about horse racing is that when a horse breaks its leg and has to be put down.

Ya why doesn't someone take in a horse like that. Say a farmer or something.
