Here's what I think a combined team would like:
Fitzgerald
O'Halloran - Lohan - Lohan
Doyle - McMahon - Daly
Baker - O'Connor
Tuohy - Fingers - Hegarty
McNamara - Clancy - Sparrow
Very harsh on Eammon Taaffe I know but only room for fifteen.

Big question Patrique is if Kilkenny win on Sunday, will the 5 in a row be deemed "up there" with the 2 in 3 Clare team?

Given that Kilkenny have appeared from nowhere after years in the wilderness, it would certainly merit consideration with Clare's achievements.
I mean that Clare team had one serious hurler in McMahon, and the cats might have one in JJ.

Even though it is a pure wind up I will approach in it a somewhat serious manner....Jamsie is the only forward from that Clare team that would make the current Kilkenny side of that there is little doubt....Lynch woul probably get his place at midfield, Seanie would walk onto it at centre back, while Liam Doyle was an outstanding wing back Tommy and JJ are just that level above him and will eb remembered as two of the greats....Some will say Hickey is a better three than Lohan but I cannot agree, Lohan on his day was as good a full back as you will ever see and his ability to lift the crowd was excellent, his ability to hold the backline together under pressure is somewhat underrated, Hickey is a fine full back in his own right but has been troubled by pacey hurlers, also Lohan hadn't the luxury of his half backline and midfield playing deep to give him addded protection....Frank is as good as any corner back as Kilkenny have had in this generation.....
Something along the lines of
Davy
Tyrell-Lohan-Lohan
Walsh-McMahon-Delaney
Lynch-Cha/Rice/Lyng
Jamsie-Shefflin-Larkin
Brennan-Power-Fogarty

Well done Pukey, clever use of Tyrrell to accommodate Frank. Can't argue with you, for once....
