Laois V Meath
Meath are the favouites but Laois have the forwards in MJ, Ross and Kingston to trouble the Meath full back line. Makes for an interesting game in my book and will be the more interesting than the 2 on Sunday. For me Laois can win it but it is probably more hope than anything.
Laois by 2 points or Meath by 5 points for me !!

Could be high scoring alright. Meath still have problems at the back but up front are a very good unit. Cian Ward is excellent and Shane O'Rourke will get better with every game. I think Meath are better than at any time in the last 3 years so expect them to win this one by 4/5 - but they will concede a good few scores in the process.

Re: Laois V Meath
I think we robbed Laois today. The goalie dropping the ball into the net was the greatest stroke of luck any Meath team will ever have!
Very few positives for me, Kevin Reilly did very well on his return and while the big names grabbed the headlines in Portlaoise three weeks ago, it was left to Seamus Kenny and Graham Reilly to rescue us today. Bigey going off injured was a blow and the other lads like O'Rourke, Sheridan and Bray flattered. Like the Dublin forward line, they are completely unpredictable.
One thing I have to ask though is how Mark Ward lasted a whole seventy minutes on the pitch? Management got that one terribly wrong. Laois really deserved the win, if Meath have any sense of justice, they'll give them the replay.

Loyal - for 50 minutes Laois were the most unambitious, flat and lacklustre team I had seen in a while in Croke Park (until Dublin an hour later!). They didn't score for the first 20 minutes of the second half - got no ball into a two man forward unit and yet they got a draw. My opinion of Meath changed today - as it did of Dublin - see other thread!

Loyal you would have a better 'view' of the game than me as you were at ti but going by the 'highlights' on the Sunday game it looked very much like Meath were on top for most of the game and that Laois were always playing catch up - some great long range scores especially from Meath and Laois goal was a cracker.
I'd be happier tonight being a Meath supporter than if i were a Dub to be honest.

Great grit to come back from a sickener like the goal to level it - fair play. But like Dublin they should look at the system ...
