Re: Tara Rafa
Wigan's first ever win over Liverpool, I doubt it has to finally be the end of the line for Rafa at this stage

If they didn't sack him when they were 7th-8th they are not going to sack him now, don't see the point not too far off 4th place.

He'd had a good run up until that though.. What happened that team?! Scoring goals for fun last year.. Surely it wasnt just Alonso holding things together?

Re: Tara Rafa
I'd say Gerrard playing well and Torres staying relatively injury free as well as having Alonso, Hyypia and Arbeloa were just painting over the cracks and making a poor team look good.

Re: Tara Rafa
Benayoun being injured was also a massive loss. They really should be gunning to win the Europa league... They're still well capable of beating a lot of teams in that.

Re: Tara Rafa
I wonder how long Torres will stay. They say he loves the club but weren't Atletico Madrid his boyhood team and he left them just to play for Liverpool and get champions league football, I think he even took a pay cut.

Re: Tara Rafa
I think he has a feeling he was destined to go to Liverpool to win trophies according to some of what he's said.. But he's spoken about Liverpool not buying quality players to play along with him. I'd imagine if they don't make some shrewd purchases in the summer (which I doubt they will) he won't be too hard to take away from the Premier League.

What's wrong with that Jayo? They have the players to be getting to the latter stages of that competition as far as I'm concerned.. Do you not think so?

Tbh JS - I think the competition has about as much credit as the Johnstons Paint Trophy ....

Re: Tara Rafa
Well yes it's obviously not what they would want to be competing for but still, the mighty have fallen and i'm sure Rafa would want some sort of Silverware to wave at supporters if they don't get 4th position.

I wonder is Rafa heading to the Festival this year? Liverpool have had many fine racing enthusiasts on their payroll down the years.

Re: Tara Rafa
Liverpool are in a mess...Rafa for some reason know only to himself continues to pick teams with 6 or 7 players who simply are not good enough to play for the side.
Get in someone new as manager or else Liverpool could have a very embarrassing next few seasons.
